Welcome to Dacula Softball

Dacula Softball plays according to modified Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules and regulations. For additional information you are encouraged to visit the ASA website and read the handbook.

We offer both a Spring and a Fall Softball program. Sign-ups for the Spring season usually begin around the first week of January and generally runs through the beginning of February. Practice will normally start in February and opening day of the Spring season is in March. The Spring season runs through the beginning of May.

The Fall sign-ups begin early July and the first Fall game usually takes place right after Labor Day. The Fall season runs through the end of October with our annual Dacula Falcon Fall Classic tournament in early November.

FAQ:

Q: What does my player need to have?
A: Each player needs to have their own face mask, helmet with a face guard, C-Flaps are not allowed, a glove and a bat. Some positions require a chest protector.

Q: How do I know which bat to get my player?
A: Tee-Ball and Peewee can only have aluminum bats. Minor and up can have composite. All bats must have the USA stamp and/or the ASA stamp.

Q: How do I know the correct bat size?
A: Have the player hold the bat straight up in front of them, so that it makes a line. If the bat is too heavy the player will not be able to hold it up for more than a few seconds. If they can hold it for 10 seconds without wavering it could be the correct weight.

Q: How many scheduled practices or games will there be a week?

A: We only schedule 3 items per week in most cases, reschedule due to rain may cause there to be more.

Q: When is the first game?
A: First game is usually the first Saturday in March for the Spring and the first Saturday after Labor Day in the fall.
